Renovate and Upgrade

  • We recently commissioned Sashcraft to restore the sash windows and front door and garage door in our Victorian property – and we are delighted with the results. The team did a very thorough and professional job, and even went to the trouble of identifying the correct shade of 'Cambridge Blue' for our doors. We undertook an extensive renovation and upgrade service for all the windows, doors and garage door in this detached Victorian home in central Cambridge.

The work
  • We removed all opening sashes from both casement and sliding-sash windows and repaired the boxes, frames and sills
  • Conservation joints were created in the sashes to allow for movement
  • The sashes were planed and the Sashcraft Advanced Sealing System was installed for draught and noise-proofing
  • We decorated all the windows, which we fitted with quality brass furniture to complete the upgrade
